Why own a dog

Sometimes I wonder why people would go to all the trouble of getting a dog.
I mean who needs a fluffy four-legged pup running around their home. Aren't kids enough?

I did some research online and found an article by
Alan Quasha - (I think she knows my buddies James and Patty Stutterman!).

Her main points are around: Love, Companionship, & Touch,Laughter and Play, Exercise, Health, & the Natural World. Social connections.

Maybe I'll reconsider getting a new pup after all!
